Jerry Dominguez, a fifteen-year-old who has recently lost his mother, discusses with his father their plans for a special dinner. Later, he casually asks his eight-year-old sister, Glenda, for her opinion of the beautiful red-haired hairdresser at Osvaldo’s, their father’s barbershop. Glenda appears indifferent, but her curiosity is piqued when Jerry asks her to set four places at the dinner table instead of the usual three. When their father arrives home, Ana Daisy – the pretty redhead – accompanies him. Over the course of the meal, the Dominguez family must confront past pains as they attempt to forge a path towards the uncertain future.
